Abstract

As the year draws to a close, we reflect on what has been a busy but fulfilling year in the South African Gastroenterology calendar. Having just attended a successful SAGES stand-alone congress in Durban, it was exciting to see the interest the congress generated among members of the society, and the positive feedback received. We had excellent local and international speakers, including none other than Prof Nick Talley, whose book ‘Clinical Examination’ most of us read at medical school.
